Strapping
Strapping is a simple but effective way we support people with injuries at Back to Fitness Physio. Whether it’s a swollen ankle, a sore knee, or a shoulder that needs a bit more stability, taping can help protect the area, reduce pain, and keep you moving safely.
We use a mix of techniques depending on what’s needed — from supportive joint strapping (great in the early stages of injury) to colourful Kinesiology Tape (K-Tape), which helps with swelling, bruising, posture, and even muscle activation. It’s not just for athletes — we use it every day for regular people getting back on their feet after injury or surgery.
You might have strapping as part of your physio treatment, or you can book in specifically for it if you know you’ve got a match, a walk, or a weekend away and need that extra bit of support. We’ll always explain what we’re doing and why — and we’re happy to show you how to reapply the tape yourself if that’s useful.
