McKenzie Jenkin

BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MCSP, HCPC Registered, British Weight Lifting Level 2 in Coaching Strength Training
Hi, I’m McKenzie — a physiotherapist with a passion for strength, performance and helping people move better. I graduated in 2020 with a First-Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Cumbria, and I’ve been focused on sports rehab and conditioning work ever since.
I’m one of the senior physiotherapists here at Back to Fitness Physio, so as well as working in the gym at our Physio Rehab Barn, I also assess and treat patients in clinic — helping people recover from injury, manage pain, and build strength at every stage of their rehab journey.
I head up the gym at the barn and lead on all things strength and performance, from post-injury rehab to progressive lifting plans. I’m also British Weight Lifting Accredited in coaching Strength Training, and I love helping people gain confidence with weights — whether they’re returning to training or lifting for the first time.
My clinical interests include shoulder injuries, spinal problems, and helping active people recover, rebuild, and perform at their best. I also have a background in rugby, and a lifelong love of climbing, fell walking, and the outdoors — probably because I grew up in Cumbria! I head back there whenever I can to get out into the hills.
Outside of work, I’m also a keen artist, a bit of a weight training nerd, and live locally with my wife Olivia and our two very mischievous cats.
