At Back to Fitness Physio, we believe in the power of group exercise to enhance physical and mental well-being. In our Physio Rehab Barn, we have created a health hub that promotes good physical and mental health. Everyone of all shapes, sizes, and abilities is welcome.
Joining a group exercise class improves physical fitness and provides valuable mental health benefits. The support of fellow participants and our physios creates a motivating and uplifting environment, boosting mood and reducing stress levels.
Going somewhere new to try something can be scary, so if we have yet to meet, one of our physios will speak to you before your first session to introduce themselves and learn more about you and your goals. At least that way, you’ll know at least one person in the class – us!
Our classes combine our medical knowledge as physiotherapists with our experience teaching exercises. This means you can safely come to us, even with medical problems. We have a variety of things on offer…

For our older participants, we offer ‘Back to Balance’, a specialised class designed to promote strength, stability, and flexibility and reduce fall risk. Led by our physios, this class focuses on exercises tailored to the needs of older adults, helping them maintain independence and vitality as they age gracefully.
Exercises may be seated or standing, depending on ability, and aim to improve strength, balance and reaction times.
Everyone is welcome!

Navigating menopause and perimenopause can be challenging, which is why we offer a dedicated strength class to support you through this transition. Our ‘Back to You’ class is aimed at 40+ ladies, and the focus is on building strength to combat the effect of reducing hormone levels on bone, brain, and muscle health.
This circuit-type class is not about being at the top of the leaderboard or pushing yourself to the brink of physical exhaustion; it’s about women supporting women to become the best versions of themselves and protecting their future health through specific exercise.
Each week, participants will also learn about a different aspect of menopause, such as the effects different sex hormones have on women and combines this with targeted exercises from our physiotherapists to help manage symptoms, improve bone health, maintain muscle mass and enhance overall well-being.
Allow us to get you feeling like ‘you’ again.

Surgery is often the last resort, even from the surgeon’s perspective. Until surgery becomes appropriate, arthritis can be managed exceptionally well with exercise and lifestyle modification.
Regular physical activity helps reduce joint pain and stiffness, improving your ability to move and do everyday tasks. It strengthens the muscles around your joints, providing better support and stability. Exercise also boosts your overall energy levels and mood, helping to reduce feelings of fatigue and depression that can accompany arthritis. Additionally, staying active helps you maintain a healthy weight, which reduces extra stress on your joints.
Our experienced physiotherapists lead this 8-week course. Each week, there will be a combination of education about the disease and its management and an exercise class. Each week will build on the week before, with exercises becoming increasingly more challenging.
These classes are also great for meeting new people and sharing experiences.
The price for the eight-week course is £120
